Better late than never!

Ladies and Gentlemen, in celebration of the recent "Day of Poetry" I give you a unique opportunity to witness the unveiling of a penned poem by yours truly! Groan! Groan! Spare us the agony TF! Nope, I can't do that! TF, your readers will be seeing RED. Ahhh, but RED is good, for it stimulates the mind, so they say. But, who are they? I'll be buggered if I know ;-)

Right, here we go then...

Agony Away
Anticipating arousing action
fresh faced fanatical Fulham football fan
takes train towards turnstile

goalless game grim!

suddenly stadium sings
shouting starts
clapping cheering chanting
exploding echoing excitement escalates

paranoid pitch
professional passing plunder
cultivating commotion cartwheeling cut-up
cracks competitors cartilage

shifty shirty star striker sent-off
check-out checkmate!

backwash blunder
boisterous bemoaning booing begins

fresh faced football fan fuming from foul fiasco
torn apart team takes traumatic tumble

Wycombe Wanderers whitewash winners!

Moral of the post:- TF can't write poetry to save her life :0

Have a great weekend (week) one and all and remember we can't all be winners for its the taking part that counts. TF,stop talking twaddle!

I like this TF, you've cleverly captured the atmosphere of a real football match.

That was fun and as Cait said, captured the moments really well.

I also love your fiery red and pink glass photo!

Oh, very clever, TF. I think you've been sneaking up to Turf Moor...

As Lane said - I love that photo. Stunning!

Thanks Ladies, I'm arty farting (taking images etc) around with the concept of red at the moment. Silly poem thingy inspired by a piece of red card. Blinkin' 'eck now I sounding a tad bonkers :) TFx

I'm sure that is the only time Wycombe Wanderers will appear in a poem!

Blu, thanks m'dear :)

Mr NB,

What? What?

Will Wycombe Wanderers waltz with weary, weak-kneed, whimical wench with witty wisecrack wordy ways?

Whishful thinking! Wink! Wink!
